YFoEE at WSF 2021: System change, not climate change!

15/02/2021

Young Friends of the Earth Europe (YFoEE) was invited to take part in the 2021 World Social Forum (WSF) which was held online – due to obvious sanitary reasons. In the framework of the Climate, Ecology and Environmental, YFoEE participated on 29 January 2021 to the session ‘System change, not climate change!‘ together with other young people and youth organisations from different continents, including National Adivasi Alliance (India), Zimsoff-Zimbabwe/La Via Campesina (Zimbabwe), Coalition COP26 (UK) and Attac (France).

The recording of the session is now available online:

In their speech, the representatives of Young FoEE highlighted some of the main values of the network which stands as conditions for a successful systemic change: the system change must take all parts of the society into account (Intersectionality) in order to make the fight against climate change as just and fair as possible (Climate Justice).
