Campaigning, camping and canoeing- it’s Summer Camp time!

26/05/2014

This summer Young Friends of the Earth Europe is glad to invite you to sunny Bulgaria! Our annual summer camp will be held in the midst of the Rhodope Mountains near Beglika lake – well known for its picturesque scene, so make sure you are not going to miss this one out.

This year Summer Camp will be hosted by Za Zemiata (Friends of the Earth Bulgaria) from 14th – 20th of August. 50 young people from our network will be coming together for a week of learning, networking and making decisions on our future alongside with getting to know each other and having fun. What is more, Summer Camp in Bulgaria is going to be exceptional, as we are all going for camping outdoors!

The YFoEE Summer Camp is a possibility for activists from across the YFoEE network to build their knowledge and skills on campaigning as well as to join our projects and actions. It is also a wonderful opportunity to get together and share your own group stories and experiences along with learning from the others and building links within our network. In addition to our usual programme, this year we are going to focus on food and agriculture related topics, which will be a great chance for local YFoEE groups to get involved with. Together with our Food and Agriculture working group, YFoE Bulgaria will provide us with a deeper insight on these issues, through various workshops and discussions. On top of this, programme will include many outdoor activities that will let us to explore a wonderful nature of Bulgaria.
