Good Food picnic in Austria

03/10/2012

Global 2000 Jugend (Young Friends of the Earth Austria) sent us this report and pictures of a picnic they organised as their contribution to the reCAP campaign launch in Austria. Juli Okropiridise writes…

“The picknick took place in the middle of the city in the first district of Vienna, the same time as the good food march in brussels. Some farmers from Lower Austria came and brought der fruit and vegetables. Different inveronmental organisations brought coffee, tea, juice, bread, spread. It was an open facebook event, so everyone was free to come and enjoy free local, organic food. People that came were mostly from the organisations, but a few picknickers were also “external people”. Also some pedestrians that came by occasionally stopped and joined us.”

More pictures from the picninc can be found on the reCAP photo gallery.

They plan to run another similar event soon…
