Back from our 2012 Network Gathering

03/08/2012

Young Friends of the Earth Europe is back from another of our annual Network Gathering’s! This year over 30 people from 19 countries joined us for an inspiring and action packed four days, hosted by our friends from Pro Natura Jugend in Switzerland.

The Network Gathering is the annual forum for activists from the Young Friends of the Earth Europe network to come together, discuss the work and direction of the network and make action plans for the coming year. 2012 is an important year for Young Friends of the Earth Europe as we celebrate our five year birthday! To mark this anniversary, this years Network Gathering saw the launch of our plans to make a long term strategic plan, and of course, gave us an excuse to eat lot’s of delicious vegan birthday cake.

We also elected our new Steering Group who will lead and develop the Young Friends of the Earth Europe network over the coming year.

Young Friends of the Earth Europe greatfully acknowledges financial assistance from the European Union DG Development – Development Fields Project for this event.
