YFoE Bulgaria Youth Eco Festival

Music, Arts, Workshops: Inspiring YFoE Bulgaria Eco Youth Festival!

10/04/2015

The Mladi Za Zemiata/Young Friends of the Earth Bulgaria youth festival took place on 14th March in a new art urban space and presented various initiatives of young people in Bulgaria, dedicated to environmental protection. More than 25 booths and sharing sessions with participants across the country engaged and inspired the visitors all day long.

The festival opened in the morning, with a special show from the Bulgarian rapper-ecologist El Freegano and lasted till late evening, finishing with theater performances and a live set by an international cinematic punk jazz band. In between the shows visitors could also choose between two parallel presentation sessions about successful green activities. Additionally, people could also join yoga practices, listen to green short stories, get involved into workshops for recycling art and natural cosmetics, drink fresh juices and try out raw candies, learn how to make home composters, and work with wood and clay.

And above all of this, we at Mladi Za Zemiata/Young Friends of the Earth Bulgaria met some really motivated and devoted young people, with whom we will exchange ideas and experiences for future joint actions to spread green ideas throughout Bulgaria and beyond.
